A Good End To The Week

I’ll be honest – I’ve had worse days.  In fact, recently I’ve had many worse days.  But today wasn’t one of them, for a few reasons.

First, Denki Blocks! has made its way to the front page of Apple’s App Store (in the UK at least) and is now included in the “New and Noteworthy” section.  That’s obviously helping to raise awareness of the game, which in turn is helping to drive sales.

Plus, the purchase of Denki Blocks! by one kind soul in Kenya today meant we’ve officially sold copies of the game on all five continents – so we are now a *truly* international games company.  Oh yes… good times!

And, as if that wasn’t already enough, there’s even more.  Today we submitted our second game to Apple for App Store approval.  We weren’t going to mention it to anyone until next week, but since Gary couldn’t quite control himself, and ended up inadvertently posting some scores to his Facebook and Twitter accounts I thought we might as well give you a wee peek at what’s coming:

I won’t steal Gary’s thunder by going in to details, but suffice-it-to-say it’s Denki’s loving homage to the arcade classics of the 1970’s.  And anyone who’s familiar with my own gaming tastes will probably be able to guess the rest from there!

We’ve loved making it, and we’re now loving playing it.  The intra-office high-score competition has already been pretty fierce during testing, so we’re looking forward to getting it out of the toy factory and in to the hands of players.

Anyway – much more next week, but in the meantime I hope everyone has a good weekend.  Me?  I’ll be practising my skills to make sure I’m ready to represent Denki on the high-score tables!

Cheers,

Colin.
